INTERNATIONAL HORTING CODE OF ETHICS - HORTING ETIQUETTE

HORTING ETIQUETTE from the founder of the sport, Professor Eduard Yeromenko, February 15, 2000

Etiquette (French: etiquette) – established rules and norms of behavior anywhere. The complex rules of horting competitions require strict personal discipline of each athlete and a serious attitude towards both the training process and their behavior in everyday life. The path taken by an athlete who constantly stands for such strict and fair regulated rules of sports competitions will reveal and show him all the positive and negative sides of discipline and indiscipline, the desire for self-improvement and laziness, the advantages of a good attitude towards people and the disadvantages of selfishness.
In the human soul, throughout life, there is a struggle between good qualities, thoughts, and impulses and bad ones. This is the inexorable process of education called personality development. Getting into an environment supporting a healthy lifestyle, a student of the horting system finds habits that can maintain his body, external data, and internal organs of the body in a healthy state for many years.
Getting into a positive, good-natured environment of communication, the athlete adopts the characteristic features and principles of such sincere behavior, in which most of the time he is in a good mood, which in itself gives a positive progressive result in training, at work, in studies, in family relationships, and even significantly extends his life span.
This principle of surrounding the athlete with a positive attitude, maintaining a good sports atmosphere in training and in everyday life is laid down in the Horting Code of Ethics. Horting etiquette is observed by all athletes regardless of whether training and competitive activities are carried out on a voluntary or professional basis.
Etiquette and sports discipline must be present and observed at all competitive, recreational and cultural events, regardless of the time and place of their holding. To understand and determine the norms of behavior of an athlete, there are the following sections of the rules of sports discipline of the Horting Code of Ethics:
rules of behavior in the sports training hall;
rules of behavior at competitions;
rules of behavior at seminars, schools and sports camps on combat horting;
rules of behavior in everyday life.
Rules of the Horting Sports Discipline

1. Respect for Parents
A sports club, section, federation, or any other Horting organization conducts classes and teaches children with the permission and approval of the parents who brought them to training, so a child or adolescent athlete is allowed to do only what is done with the knowledge and support of their parents (mother, father, grandfather, grandmother).
An athlete is obliged to constantly inform their parents about their training and plans for the future, showing them respect. If parents do not allow an athlete or member of a Horting club to attend training and continue training, such an athlete will not be allowed into the gym by the coach until the parents agree on a positive decision.
A Horting athlete is prohibited from showing disrespect to their parents in any life situation, or speaking disrespectfully about them, either alone or in a group. Conversely, by positively discussing your parents, you elevate yourself.

2. Near the gym
The horting gym has strict rules of discipline based on sports etiquette and understanding of the athlete's decent behavior in society among other people. When near the gym (greyhound), sports facility, training ground, as well as in the presence of other people, the athlete is prohibited from demonstrating his negative habits, being intoxicated or drinking alcoholic beverages, including beer and low-alcohol drinks, smoking or carrying smoking items, cigarettes, cigars, matches, lighters, using foul language (bad, uncivilized words) in communication with club members or outsiders, using an aggressive tone of speech, or insulting a person.
A horting athlete must set an example of positive, good-natured communication in the team, personal self-discipline. It is mandatory to visit the toilet before the start of a training session. It is also recommended not to eat or drink for at least one hour before starting your workout.

3. Example for novice athletes
An athlete must constantly train, in life, everyday life and in the gym, demonstrate to novice athletes an example of a healthy lifestyle, a desire for constant self-improvement, help others and cultivate positive human qualities in themselves: reliability, loyalty, stability, responsibility, respectful attitude towards elders and support for novice athletes.

4. Skipping training
An athlete must not miss training sessions without a good reason. If there is a good reason for this, the athlete must inform the coach in advance and take time off from this training or several training sessions, after which he must inform his parents that the coach has been warned about the athlete's future absence from training.

5. Lateness to training
An athlete must come to training 15 minutes before the start of the session. An athlete is prohibited from being late for training without a good reason. If there was a significant reason and the athlete was late for the start of the session, he independently changes clothes in the locker room, prepares personal training equipment for training, approaches the entrance door of the sports hall.
Upon entering the sports hall, the athlete performs an etiquette bow towards the coach and, moving aside from the passage 2–3 m, accepts a firm etiquette bow towards the coach and athletes who are in the gym, waiting for permission to join the training. Having received permission from the coach to join the training, the athlete performs another etiquette bow and takes the place indicated by the coach (if the athletes are lined up, then at the end of the lined up formation).
At the end of the training or during the session, choosing the moment on his own, the athlete is obliged to approach the coach, apologize for being late and openly inform the reason for being late.

6. Start of training
Upon entering the gym, the athlete is required to bow in the direction of the coach, and then to the front of the gym, without unnecessary emotions, greet his clubmates. After that, the athlete can sit on the gymnastic bench and wait for the start of the training or start an independent warm-up in the corner of the gym, without attracting additional attention.
Before the start of the training session, moving around the soft surface of the hall is prohibited. Loud conversations in the gym are prohibited. If the coach has called the athlete to communicate, the athlete is required to run up to the coach with a light jog or walk quickly and, having bowed in greeting, start communicating. At the coach's command to line up before the start of training, all athletes are required to move around the gym at a quick pace or light jog to the place assigned to each in accordance with horting etiquette, silently, without showing emotions, accept the stable etiquette and await the coach's next command.

7. During training
During the entire training, the athlete must adhere to the rules of etiquette, respect the training place and the general equipment of the hall, quickly execute the coach's commands, be diligent in learning the basic horting technique, and try to gain as much knowledge and skills as possible in the fight. The duty of everyone who is engaged is to behave politely and with dignity so that a favorable and harmonious atmosphere of mutual respect and a desire to help each other reigns in the hall. Everyone who crosses the threshold of the horting hall is one friendly family with a common goal.
Any manifestations of disrespect towards a partner are unacceptable. When stepping on the horting, carpet, soft surface for training, or when stepping off it, the athlete must perform an etiquette bow in the direction of the center of this training place and the coach conducting the class. When stepping on the training place, he must independently bow, without distracting the attention of other athletes.
Walking on the horting without a training goal is prohibited for athletes. Each participant in the training is obliged to apply the principles: the older one helps the younger one; the stronger one helps the weaker one; an experienced athlete shows the beginner by his personal example a serious attitude to each element of the training process. An athlete is prohibited from wearing body jewelry during training: chains, earrings, bracelets, wedding rings, etc., so that, conducting fights and performing exercises, they do not injure their partner with these objects.
A horting athlete is obliged to educate himself in the spirit of respect for those who have been practicing longer than him. Never enter into arguments with them about studying the basic technique of techniques and other aspects of training, and respond gratefully to their methodological tips and remarks.
When the trainer shows or explains a technique during a class, you must listen to him silently and attentively. At this moment, everyone present in the hall is prohibited from talking. When the coach shows or explains a technique during a class, the athlete must stand in the etiquette stand, kneel in the middle etiquette position, sit on the floor of the greyhound in the lower etiquette position, other body positions are prohibited. If the coach explains to you personally, do not forget to show with a positive response that you have heard and understood the advice. After completing the explanations, the athlete must bow first to the coach, thank him for the explanation, and then to your partner and continue the class. Do not leave the hall without the coach's permission.
Do not walk between the ranks, in front of the lined up athletes, between the coach and the athletes who are practicing.
Athletes during training must diligently study everything that the coach gives them and work at full strength. If a question arises for the coach, the athlete must, without calling out to the coach, approach him, choose a moment, and wait for permission to ask the question. Do not invite an athlete who is a level higher than you to fight with you. Never refuse a fight if you are invited. The main quality of a horting athlete is his irresistible will to win.
If a qualified athlete sees a novice performing a technique incorrectly, then during independent practice of the technique, he is allowed to correct the novice without attracting the attention of others, these actions are prohibited in the horting hall. Free conversations in the hall are also prohibited, and working communication should be limited to horting terminology.
During classes, do not distract other athletes and do not occupy them with conversations. The athlete is prohibited from using a mobile phone during training. Sports training uniform: horting (jacket, trousers, belt) is an item of personal hygiene of the athlete. The athlete is prohibited from borrowing a uniform from another, in the absence of a uniform, the athlete must strive to purchase one.
If training takes place outdoors, and an athlete cannot train and is present as a spectator, he is prohibited from addressing those who are training without the coach's permission, drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking, eating, chewing gum, or doing other things that distract the athletes present from training.

8. Spectator behavior during training
A person who wants to watch a horting training session can freely come and, with the permission of the coach, take the spectator seat assigned to him in the gym. You cannot lie down and watch the training session, this is a manifestation of disrespect for the athletes and the coach. The way a spectator sits in the gym speaks about his attitude to the place and the team he has come to. Spectators in the gym are prohibited from eating and drinking, smoking, making fun of the athletes when discussing their training, talking during the coach's explanations, using a mobile phone while in the gym during the session.
If a spectator needs to leave the gym, he must quietly get up from the spectator seat, say goodbye silently with a nod to those present, and leave the gym without distracting those who are working out with his actions.

9. Injuries-risk behavior
Horting training sessions should always be held in conditions that exclude the possibility of injuries. An athlete during training is prohibited from performing any actions that entail dangerous consequences for others. Of course, any injury to a child is stressful for his or her parents. If a child was injured during training, the coach at whose session the traumatic incident occurred, the club management, federation, and sometimes the entire sports team are subjected to serious experiences.
In addition, according to the legislation of any country, an organization or sports institution is responsible for the life and health of those who are studying, athletes and employees of the sports institution during the training process. The circumstances of injuries in athletes are created by excessive impulsiveness, enthusiasm for training and the desire to quickly perform this or that action, which often makes the athlete forget about the danger that threatens him or her. Therefore, during training, a significant role is played by the observation of beginners by more qualified horting athletes.
The senior is obliged to set an example of discipline and safe behavior for the younger one, and if the latter does not comply with safety requirements, stop the beginner and give him a warning, up to and including a sports punishment through additional physical exercises. If you are given a warning for violating a particular rule of conduct, do not consider it a personal insult, compliance with the rules of etiquette is crucial for your safety and the safety of others, as well as for learning horting in general.
Each athlete is obliged to comply with fire safety rules.

10. Etiquette bow
A horting athlete, when making a bow, must be aware of its meaning and necessity. The horting etiquette bow is a sign of respect for the fighting spirit. There is no content of worship or religiosity in the bow. The bow is performed by slightly bowing the head and clenching the right hand into a fist, placed on the heart area. A bow can be given to a coach with gratitude for training, to the center of the horting, to the front side of the gym out of respect for the place where people have gathered to achieve sporting excellence, to a senior highly qualified athlete as a sign of respect for his skill and the path he has taken in horting.
If your physical attitude and sincerity are genuine, then the bow will express true respect, come from the heart and voluntarily.

11. Personal hygiene
The duty and necessity of every athlete who is engaged in a horting club is to monitor the cleanliness of the hall, the horting, the condition of training equipment, collective equipment and personal inventory.
Each athlete must provide himself with personal hygiene items in advance, have a personal towel, soap, change of shoes, other items and use them in everyday life, monitor the cleanliness of the body, hands, feet, the absence of nails, have a neat hairstyle, a neat appearance, monitor the integrity and cleanliness of training clothes, personal protective equipment. An athlete who is not prepared in terms of hygiene is prohibited from attending a training session.

12. End of training
If the coach announces the end of training, all athletes are required to stop performing the exercises and follow his commands. If a general formation for meditation or summarizing is announced, athletes are required to take their place in the formation among other horting students with a quick step or a light jog, in accordance with etiquette. During the summarizing of the training, all its participants must be silent and listen to the summary information, remembering their homework.
If an athlete has a question for the coach, he must raise his right hand up and use this hand signal to show his desire to ask a question. Questions are allowed to be asked only after permission from the coach. Leaving the sports hall after the training is completed is only possible with the coach's permission, the athlete is prohibited from leaving the training hall on his own without a team. After the end of the class, moving on soft surfaces is prohibited. After the end of the class, sports equipment should be taken to the designated place and the training area and locker rooms should be tidied up.

13. Leaving the gym during training
If an athlete needs to leave the gym during a session, they must ask the coach for permission and, upon returning to the gym, explain the reason for their exit.

14. Rules of conduct at competitions
Competitions allow solving pedagogical, sports-methodical and socio-political tasks. During sports competitions, the same pedagogical tasks are solved as during training in general, that is, improving the physical, technical, tactical, and mental fitness of the athlete. However, all the changes that occur in the body exceed the level typical of training sessions. Competitions are one of the effective means of increasing the athlete's fitness. Sports competitions are especially important for forming the will to win - the main quality of a horting athlete. They also have a positive effect on spectators.
Be steadfast in the fight, always keep the fighting spirit and unwavering will in your heart, do not succumb to weaknesses and temptations, do not resort to tricks and unethical tactics, do not seek to defeat your opponent by dishonest or prohibited techniques, do not seek compromises in the fight, fight until complete victory and your opponent admits defeat.

In competitions in which a horting athlete has to participate for several days, each subsequent performance must be sanctioned by the coach and the competition doctor. If a participant in the competition is injured or knocked out, he is immediately removed from the competition.
Spectators at sports competitions are also responsible for complying with the requirements of the Combat Horting Code of Ethics.

15. Rules of conduct at seminars, certifications, schools and sports camps for horting
Educational and training seminars, certifications, schools, camps for horting are an effective incentive for systematic classes, which contributes to the development of the qualities of each athlete, his moral-volitional and psychological preparation. Seminars and certifications are used by horting coaches to prepare athletes for the next more responsible competitions, selection, identification of sports data and sports fitness of horting athletes, checking the quality of educational and training and educational work, popularizing the idea of a healthy lifestyle in the club team.

Do not forget to thank your parents who raised you and brought you to classes at the horting club, they chose a difficult path for you, respect you for this work in training, rejoice in your victories, and worry about defeat with you.
Be proud that you are engaged in horting, many would not withstand such loads and demands of discipline. There is no art of close combat that is tougher and more effective than horting. Under pressure from grabs and throws in the stance, punches, and continued attacks on the ground, any opponent in any martial art will realize your superiority and respect your path.
Never boast that you practice the horting style.
Do not harm the weak, come to the rescue, save someone who needs help.
Use hand-to-hand combat techniques only in the case of defense at a time of danger to your life and health, the life and health of close relatives, members of your family, when other methods are useless and delay is impossible. If a life situation forces you to use the power of horting against attackers to preserve honor and dignity, act decisively and uncompromisingly, knocking the offenders down.
Respect other types of martial arts. Do not allow yourself to speak disrespectfully about any martial art style. Sincerely respect masters of other styles who have achieved high results in their form. Do not hesitate to learn from them variations of techniques and other techniques, this will significantly increase your sports capabilities.
Knowledge cannot be bought. The monetary contributions that you make for training are used to pay for the rent of the hall and the development of your club. Do not forget to support the viability of the team in which you are brought up without unnecessary reminders, having the opportunity to thank the coach for the knowledge gained and the common path.
Treat your Horting Teacher with sincere respect. In horting, etiquette plays an important educational role. It is very closely related to the moral norms and values of society. The system of moral attitudes that determine the nature of communication among people includes a set of universal human values: respectful attitude towards elders, parents, women, the concepts of honor and dignity, modesty, tolerance, goodwill. Horting etiquette always tries to emphasize these important values and instill in its students respect for the values accepted in society.
Etiquette highlights the basic principles of humanism and humanity, which are embodied in the requirements to be polite, tactful, correct, courteous, kind, modest and reliable.
Etiquette helps to choose the path that will be the most expedient, reasonable, simple and convenient for the horting athlete himself and for the people around him. This is very important at the initial stage of the relationship that develops between children and their parents, friends, students.
Etiquette also promotes the principle of beauty and aesthetic appeal of behavior. It is nice when a person is responsible for his actions, knows how to behave in such a way that his polite behavior pleases others and commands respect.
Etiquette emphasizes the principles, customs and traditions of the country in which a person is currently located. Possession of an international traditional culture of behavior not only gives horting athletes the opportunity to communicate normally with representatives of different nationalities and different religions, but also teaches them to respect other people's customs, no matter how strange and unusual they may seem at first glance. Horting also gives an idea of etiquette from the point of view of respecting each other.
Also very important are the relationships that develop between a student and a teacher, because this will later help students to properly build relationships with friends, colleagues, teachers of educational institutions and parents. Any horting school is a place where they teach self-discipline and organization, the ability to control emotions and direct thoughts. Horting for a child and an adult is an effective means of physical and spiritual development, the formation of a sense of justice, a courageous sporting character and moral and ethical education.

Code of Honor of a Horting Athlete
Life principles of a Horting athlete. Horting preserves age-old traditions and remains the heir to the code of honor of a warrior. As a martial art, it cultivates not only physical strength, but also intelligence and nobility. Horting is the art of self-improvement. Both experienced and novice must be courageous, persistent, modest and respectful of other people. The theory and methodology of Horting considers its art as a means of forming a harmoniously developed personality, since Horting is not so much an effective means of protection and self-defense as a positive philosophy of everyday life.
The code of honor of a Horting athlete includes such qualities as: politeness, courage, sincerity, honesty, modesty, impossibility of betrayal, self-control, loyalty in friendship, respect for others.
When entering a horting school, a student takes an oath that he will not quit his studies without a good reason, will not disgrace horting and his school, will not reveal to anyone the secrets he was taught without the teacher's permission, and will follow the laws of true martial arts, always adhere to them, and if he becomes a teacher, will pass on the true teachings to his students.
The founder did not immediately come to the basic principles of his effective system. For a long time, training systems were studied in various schools, their creative and thorough analysis took place. The experience of combat operations in special forces units during wars, an inquisitive mind, and natural intelligence distinguished him in a clash with specialists from other military and applied systems of training soldiers. These stories were reflected in famous educational and methodological books and films, laid out instructions, etc. In horting, great importance is attached to achieving maximum results. This means that the goal of horting is to achieve the best result with the necessary amount of effort, keeping your strength under control. The maximum result is the foundation of martial arts.
Moreover, this principle can be fully used in the system of physical education of people. It can also be used to develop mental abilities during classes, as well as in the upbringing and formation of character. This principle will have an impact on a person's manners, on how he dresses, lives, on his behavior in society and attitude towards others. In short, horting is the art of life.

Horting as physical education
The goal of physical education in the horting system is to make the body strong, useful and healthy. Further, in the process of physical development, all the muscles of the body must develop symmetrically. In horting, a certain set of warm-up exercises has been developed that develop all the muscles of the body. In addition, regular practice of both defensive and attacking formal complexes of horting techniques, as well as training fights, is necessary. Horting forms incorporate the basics of attack and defense, while training bouts are freestyle training. In both cases, all movements must be performed with the greatest efficiency and full use of force.

Horting as a sport
Training fights are the basis of preparation for horting competitions, a sporting element of a large system. Lethal techniques are prohibited in it, and rivals try to gain a clear victory thanks to perfected technique, the most efficient use of energy and a proper sense of time. Training fights are, first of all, a test of the athlete's progress in mastering this art and allow the student to assess how well he is able to act in comparison with others. Noting the importance of training fights, it can be especially emphasized that competition is only part of the horting system, and its significance should not be overestimated.

Horting as a means of moral and ethical education
Practicing horting helps an athlete become more alert, self-confident, determined and focused. Even more significant is that horting is considered a means of teaching the application of the principle of mutual assistance and cooperation. When applied to social life, such important principles of horting as diligence, flexibility, economy, good manners and ethical behavior are a great benefit to all people around.
In his methodology, the founder highlighted the following principles of horting in everyday life:
1. Carefully observe yourself and the circumstances of your own life, other people and everyone around you.
2. Have initiative in any undertaking.
3. Think through everything completely and act decisively.
4. Know when to stop.
5. Stick to the middle ground between joy and depression, exhaustion and laziness, reckless bravado and cowardice.
Today, the sports side of horting acts as the leading, moreover, almost the only one. What we have today under the name "horting" is gradually changing from what its author conceived and created. Theoretical developments, philosophical reflections of the founder are not constantly in demand in modern life. Everyone sees only the tip of the iceberg, and the tip, which under the influence of time has changed its outlines, acquired new contours and little resembles the original form. The technique of horting should be considered as a means of self-improvement on the path to achieving an ethical ideal. Today, unfortunately, everything is based on a demonstrative result, the same gold medals, points, judges' assessments, seconds, which have brought many troubles to international sport and shortcomings in the upbringing of the younger generation.

Traditions during training
1. During training, strict rules apply, based on traditional sports etiquette and universal concepts of decent behavior. The spirit of each training hall is received directly from all teachers of combat horting, and it is the sports hall that is the place where their teachings are unchanged. Respecting this teaching and sincerely following it is the duty of everyone who trains in this place.
2. The duty of each horting athlete is to behave in such a way that a favorable and harmonious atmosphere of mutual respect reigns in the hall.
3. Cleaning the hall can be likened to offering a prayer of gratitude. Each horting athlete is obliged to participate in cleaning, thereby purifying his own mind and heart.
4. The horting hall cannot be used for any other purposes than regular classes without the personal permission of the teacher.
5. Only the teacher decides whether you will study in his group or not. Knowledge cannot be bought. The money that you pay every month is used to maintain the hall. In addition, by paying this fee, you have the opportunity to thank the teacher for the knowledge you have received. Everyone's duty is to pay for training on time.
6. Respect horting as a great teaching in the form in which it was perceived and transmitted to you by the teacher, respect the place of training, respect the things necessary for classes, respect each other.
Horting is a martial art and martial art that has been included in the school curriculum and has long gained pedagogical authority among teachers of educational institutions in different countries of the world.

Moderation and restraint: in what happens to you, blame only yourself; do not separate yourself from friendship in either big or small; do not show anyone your pain or joy completely; do not wish for another - you will not receive it yourself.
The dignity of a follower of Horting: you can be destroyed, but never defeated; forgive the one who is ready to forgive you; never regret anything; never ask twice; offer help yourself if another needs it; do not believe in the god who makes you a slave and worthless.
Property and things: despise unnecessary luxury and wealth, because you only have what you can take with you; promise only what you can give; return what you have lost; do not touch someone else's, it can become a disaster for you. Respect other people's property and protect your own.
