Formation of specific mental properties

Specialized perceptions in combat horting are: a sense of distance to the opponent, a sense of the opponent's position when grappling in the stance and ground, etc. When developing these sensations, the method of contrast tasks is used, the essence of which is to conduct training fights with opponents of different heights, weights and strengths, with reduced air pressure (up to 90, 80, 70, 60%), in the performance of techniques that significantly differ in the structure of the action: long-short grappling, long-close distances, etc.

When forming the "opponent's feeling", the organization of urgent information about the effectiveness of the movement, the full concentration of athletes' attention on the actions being performed, and instructions for hitting the most vulnerable places on the opponent's body with blows, taking into account his stance, are important. Other specialized perceptions: "sense of time", "sense of stance" - are components of tactical thinking.

The success of tactical activity of athletes depends on the adequate functioning of attention. In this case, high intensity of attention is of great importance, especially in crucial, tense moments of the fight, a significant volume and wide distribution of attention. Attention plays a special role in the defensive actions of a combat horting athlete. During the fight, the intensity of attention fluctuates significantly. In this regard, the ability to mobilize and relax attention in a timely manner becomes of great importance. When learning combat tactics and improving the tactical training of athletes, special exercises for the development of attention should be used.

Tactical thinking of combat horting athletes is one of the mental qualities that significantly affects the success of motor activity. Tactical thinking is due to two factors:

adequate and timely choice of the desired position in a combat situation, which is associated with the development of "position sense" and "time sense";

adequate and timely decision-making regarding the implementation of a technical action (strike or throw attack, block of a blow, counter-throw).

To develop tactical thinking, exercises should be used, the performance of which requires attention and control over the situation: a limited area for a fight, a training fight with two opponents, a blindfolded fight, a game of rugby with two balls, etc.
