In a changing industrial society, people are increasingly moving towards higher social standards both in resolving controversial issues of business and economics and in ordinary everyday problems. All this is happening thanks to the current legislation. But all people are different, and the level of education of people can vary from highly cultured and educated representatives of society to people living illegally, even thieves. And it is not known who a normal law-abiding citizen may run into in dark alleys. Accordingly, the training process of combat horting involves learning techniques of an applied nature that can be used for self-defense when attacked by an attacker.
Practically the entire arsenal of sports techniques of combat horting will be effective in the case of self-defense, but the psychology of such a case, unlike a sports fight, is completely different. The attacker can behave completely inadequately, react to an appeal to him in a way that a normal person does not expect. In addition, the attacker may have a weapon in his hands, or anything else. It is precisely to prepare combat horting athletes for non-standard life situations that the psychology of self-defense is studied as a section of theoretical knowledge of human behavior, and the techniques of the applied section of combat horting are studied as its practical part.
Self-defense in unpredictable conflict situations in psychological terms is an act of disobedience to the demands of the attacker and a manifestation of self-confidence and one's personal qualities of character. This is a refusal to accept the status of a victim who can be mocked and humiliated, from whom material values or property can be taken away. From a physical point of view, the act of self-defense must be considered as an instinct of self-preservation.
The deep foundations of human genetics include the struggle for one's life and the life of one's family. Considering that combat horting is not only a sport, but also a martial art, the methods of which allow you to acquire practical skills in fighting for your life in moments of attack, combat horting athletes must study not only techniques, but also the conditions and circumstances in which they can apply these techniques. Goodness should be not only with fists, but also with the brain.
Self-defense is the appropriate actions of a person taken to ensure their life and health, as well as rights violated by the attack of another person. So training combat horting techniques of an applied direction, a certain aggressiveness and self-confidence turns out to be an integral part of the system of preparation for self-defense in non-standard extreme situations.
Not only physical and technical training should be carried out, but also significant special psychological training. For self-defense, you need to have strength and courage, why train the technique if you do not have enough courage to apply it. And to think that a difficult situation cannot happen to you and not to prepare for it is a very reassuring and dangerous thought.
Of course, many laws are designed to protect us and maintain order in relations between people. But nevertheless, a certain level of crime continues to exist. Not a day goes by that innocent people in different countries do not suffer from various acts of violence. Seeing the inability of law enforcement agencies to fully cope with crime, people themselves strive to be able to protect themselves and their loved ones. Every person, as a member of society, has the full right to protect themselves from unlawful encroachments on their life and health. It is this goal that leads many to engage in combat horting as a martial art and applied martial arts.
Therefore, a combat horting trainer is obliged to do everything in his power so that such people learn techniques, can feel safe and live without fear for their own future. A coach can do this by teaching athletes effective self-defense techniques, specific combinations of striking and throwing techniques, and when and how to use them. There are a wide variety of effective techniques that are equally applicable for self-defense in different situations.
The trainer needs to study the needs of each student and determine which techniques best suit their build, strength, age, and physical capabilities. A person will effectively defend themselves only with those techniques that are morphologically convenient for them. Beginners should first be taught simple and effective actions that they can easily remember and apply in different circumstances. Children should learn methods for avoiding dangerous situations, tight grips on hands without clothes and with clothes, evasions from blows to the head, and sharp simple blows to painful points on the face.
It is extremely important for athletes of an average level of training to experience the practical effectiveness of the techniques of the throwing arsenal being studied. When they come home, they will try to test the effectiveness of new techniques on friends and relatives. Therefore, when introducing students to techniques aimed at vital and most vulnerable organs, be it eyes, throat, groin, nose, shins, elbows, knees, fingers, it is necessary to warn that a correctly carried out attack using the technique of the applied section of combat horting can be very dangerous for the health of their friends and loved ones. With students of this age, the coach needs to conduct educational conversations more often in order to form personal qualities of character that the athlete must acquire during training for self-defense.
Athletes who have moved to higher stages of training should be introduced to carrying out impacts on the hands, fingers, performing holding grips of joints and throws. These techniques should be taught slowly and gradually, having previously fully achieved from the athletes compliance with all safety rules. Before introducing complex throws into the training program, even your best athletes need to be taught how to fall correctly, group, and perform self-insurance when falling on their back, side, forward, or somersaults, otherwise they will not be able to avoid back and neck injuries.
When learning special painful techniques for small joints (wrist, fingers), athletes should be required to immediately stop applying pressure to the joint as soon as their partner gives the appropriate signal. By practicing under the competent guidance of a qualified instructor, athletes will be able to fully and safely master complex and effective self-defense techniques.
When teaching self-defense methods, it is extremely important to emphasize that none of the learned techniques can be applied in practice outside the training room unless there are good reasons for doing so. It is necessary to inform athletes of the older group about how state legislation interprets the use of force for the purpose of self-defense.
Techniques and psychology of self-defense are two sides of the same coin. Techniques are aimed at physically influencing the attacker, his physical impression with the techniques of combat horting, disarmament, detention, etc. Techniques of psychological self-defense are aimed mainly at identifying the danger and avoiding a fight, buying time and restoring self-control, and, if possible, establishing a normal course of interaction with the aggressor.
A person who behaves aggressively or dangerously towards you, according to the psychology of self-defense, has a conditional name - an aggressor. But not every aggressor goes into the attack phase, that is, becomes an attacker. Therefore, your behavior is of great importance for this. After all, the main enemy is not the aggressor himself, but the feelings that he causes and uses. Actually, your psychological balance and confidence can sometimes reduce the influence of the aggressor or simply nullify it.
Principles of self-defense
1. Be able to avoid dangerous situations. You need to know that you should not walk along dark streets late at night, do not stop and do not talk to strangers, avoid acquaintances with suspicious-looking people, do not open the door to a person who does not answer questions adequately, to strangers, etc. There can be many circumstances that can cause dangerous situations.
2. Be able to identify a specific potentially dangerous situation and leave it. If you have already realized that you are in a dangerous situation, there are many options to leave it, announce a good reason and quickly leave, report the approach of another important person: father, grandfather, etc.
3. Evade a street fight, if possible, using any means.
4. If the sudden attacker is by definition physically stronger, has a weapon, threatens you with it and demands material values from you, it is better to give them back. Do not risk your life for the sake of money or other property. In this case, it is necessary to make every effort to remember the attacker's face, his special features: tattoos, scars, number of fingers on his hands, clothes, manner of movement, manner of speaking, other existing habits.
5. Active self-defense with the use of forceful techniques is the last resort to protect yourself. In this case, act decisively, quickly and powerfully, fully using the destructive power of combat horting techniques, all your knowledge and skills. Control yourself when finishing, be able to stop when circumstances allow and it becomes necessary.
Many conflicts and attacks occur due to the fault of the victim of the attack, who shows by his appearance that he was in the wrong place and at the wrong time, or is pliable and too easily accessible or defenseless: drunk, scared, excited, too trusting, etc. By eliminating these factors, you will significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of an attack.
In front of the attacker, a trained person does not show superiority, does not act as a hero who knows no fear. Training develops self-discipline, self-control, forms the ability to act properly despite fear. A psychologically prepared combat horting athlete must be able to cope with fear and direct it into the channel of successful self-defense.
Psychology of self-defense
1. Try to find a peaceful solution to the conflict at its very beginning, when the aggressor is trying to find a reason for a clash and attack.
2. Calm down and do not gesticulate, do not threaten or wave your arms. Stand straight.
3. Try to understand the motives of the attack as quickly as possible, what the attacker needs from you.
4. Try to start the conversation quietly and tactfully, do not anger the attacker, address him as "You".
5. Switch to a firm, even tone, try to agree with the attacker. Listen carefully to every word, maintain a constant exchange of phrases.
6. Do not criticize the attacker's actions, do not contradict, do not threaten him.
7. Do not leave while the attacker is talking to you, do not turn your back on him.
8. If the attacker holds you and the matter is about to conflict, try to make a compliment, divert attention from him.
9. In a difficult situation, when two or three people start a conflict, identify a leader among them. Address him respectfully.
10. If there is no chance of agreement, try to divert the attacker's attention and force him to weaken control of the situation, and attack first when he least expects it. Use the principle of surprise. In order to save your life, use all possible methods of self-defense without hesitation.
These principles of self-defense are indicative and cannot provide a solution to the entire wide range of dangerous situations, but they provide an understanding of the importance of knowledge of human psychology in behavior in such situations.
