Thanks to it, you get very tangible savings on the purchase of a gym membership. Compare, a monthly membership to a not very expensive good club now costs about 70-100 dollars. This is about 1000-1200 dollars per year. An annual card can cost a little cheaper - 900 dollars. For the same 900 dollars you can buy a modern simulator, which will faithfully serve you for at least five years.
If your friends and relatives are normal, friendly people who are friends with sports, and not jaded, subtle individuals who shy away from everything healthy, then everyone will certainly respect you as a consistent supporter of the harmonious path of personal development.
Time savings are also important. For example, it takes half an hour to get to the gym, although it is not so far from home. And there are times when you don't feel like leaving the house. And you still need to train.
By installing a gym at home, you finally get the opportunity to fully follow the wise training schemes, such as "3+1", "6+1" and so on. After all, when you trained in the gym, all your training was broken by these damned weekends, as well as the nationally celebrated holidays, which are enough. But you are ready to reap lying down even on New Year's Eve.
A huge plus is that only you use the gym. Agree, in the gym, no matter how well-groomed it is, as in a station hotel, bacteria and microbes from each of the dozens of visitors settle. And the chances that among these bacteria there will be some particularly harmful ones are quite high. And, by the way, the skin, and indeed the whole body in conditions of intensive training, are especially susceptible to infections. On your gym, only your sweat.
A bench for lying down, having previously covered it with a blanket, can be used as a wonderful ironing board, and the wide bar of the upper block will perfectly replace the hanger for your spacious shirts. And the barbell lying on the racks will be decorated with your ironed weekend pants.
Another advantage of training in your own walls is that you yourself choose the music to which you are comfortable working out.
This simulator is yours with a “master's feeling”. You chose it yourself, you tighten its screws, lubricate the blocks, change the cable. And that is why it is always in excellent condition. At any moment it is ready to work out with you.
One of the most pleasant aspects of owning your own simulator is that you yourself will be surprised at how easily you will be able to infect the most unsportsmanlike of your loved ones with a craving for training. A younger brother who wants to be no worse than you. A father who will remember that in his youth he had a weightlifting degree, a wife who, like all women, dreams of losing weight. And even your grandmother will tug at your hardware, if only to say how stupid she thinks “all this” is.
How to choose a simulator?
Buy a domestic simulator. Ukrainian and CIS companies are now producing excellent simulators, the distinctive quality of which is reliability and practicality.
If the simulator has an attachment for bending/extending the legs, make sure that the position of the fixed rollers is adjustable to the length of your limbs. Otherwise, you will buy a useless and rather bulky piece of iron.
Also check whether the height of the upper block suits you. In the starting position, your arms should be fully straightened, you should feel a slight stretch.
Buy a simulator where free weights serve as weights. Fashionable units with belt resistance are much more compact, but they simulate the load very poorly. You will get tired of them.
Before buying a simulator, it is advisable to get acquainted with the selected model in assembled form. Check: the simulator must be absolutely stable. The bench should not sway, the footrest should not wobble in the socket.
If the simulator you have chosen satisfies the above points - feel free to buy it and build your body!
