Their mass-dimension characteristics are quite impressive: weight - 80-100 kg, platform length - up to 160 cm, platform length 1-2 m, which is not very suitable for use in our small-sized apartments, although many models are foldable - the length can be reduced by 50 centimeters, and the height - by 70. The most universal of cardio machines is rowing. In these conditions, the resistance of hydraulic cylinders is usually used, such machines are not very expensive. Sometimes the load is set by a more sophisticated magnetic system, which allows for a force effect. When performing one exercise, it trains most of the muscles: the pectoral girdle, arms, legs, as well as the cardiovascular system. Rowing machines are very effective for weight loss. Rider provides comprehensive training of the main muscle groups, helps to increase joint flexibility and actively burn subcutaneous fat. The simulator ensures smooth and silent execution of movements without excessive stress on the joints and ligaments. The scissors-like design provides an almost silent sequence of movements, in which, due to the lifting and lowering of your own weight, the load is evenly distributed to different parts of the body. There are many designs of home strength training machines. From a universal bench for developing the muscles of the press and exercises with dumbbells to a multifunctional workstation. There are some peculiarities: the weight of the load plates or disks, as a rule, does not exceed one hundred kilograms, and often even fifty, often movable blocks and similar simple mechanical devices are used to increase the load, sometimes rubber or hydraulic expanders, soft handles and stops are used, which, of course, does not happen in professional exercise machines. When designing such complexes, the emphasis is usually on multifunctionality while maintaining compactness. Recently, many strength training machines have appeared, in which the own weight of the trainee is used as a power element. Myostimulators are often advertised as exercise machines that provide an instant training effect without effort on the part of the trainee. Let's start with the fact that this is not entirely true. The principle of action of the myostimulator is based on the effect on the muscle with electrical impulses that cause the muscle to contract. However, the training effect is achieved at loads close to the limit. If you apply a current pulse that forces the muscle to work at its limit, the magnitude of the current in this pulse will cause a serious burn in the person who is engaged. In addition, muscle contractions caused by a pulse of such magnitude will cause active movements of the limbs, which can lead to injuries, up to bone fractures. Therefore, such magnitudes of current pulses in myostimulators are not used and, moreover, special measures are taken to limit the current. Most myostimulators are designed to increase muscle tone by locally increasing blood flow. To a large extent, they are the same as a massage session, but they affect only one muscle group at a time. And since the session lasts about 15 minutes, the impact on several muscle groups will take time, like a good workout in the gym, which is much more effective. Therefore, myostimulation cannot be used as an alternative to traditional training.
