Different games are important, different games are necessary. But from the point of view of physical education, the most important games are mobile. However, there are no stationary games at all - at least with the brains, but you need to move them. In physical education, by the way, you can't do without brains. But in some very mobile sports games it's even easier without them. There you need to play, not think. However, even such games can be used for physical education purposes. The most popular, widespread and accessible are such games as football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, handball and rugby.
Someone may ask, but where is ball hockey, baseball, floorball, gorodki and something else. Indeed, where? Go find it. Although any games can be interesting and useful to someone in some way. And vice versa. In schools, for example, the game of folk ball is very widespread. All children are forced to play. But what kind of physical education is this if the game is clearly competitive, and the participants are almost not divided by the level of physical fitness, but only by age and gender. In this regard, the school constantly sins.
Every day the popularity of billiards is growing in our country. More and more people are playing bowling. And there is also some curling. But from the point of view of physical education, they do not represent value. In any case, now it is only sports and gambling, and therefore harmful. Although it is like watching. Or rather, how to use these types.
And golf? Some people have already bought so many clubs! They signed up for clubs, they pay dues. And what about golf? In its original form, it at least assumed walking from hole to hole over rough terrain. Now it is simply a prestigious royal-presidential entertainment, where many people do not want to walk anywhere at all, but only sit in bars, smoke cigarettes and watch how others play. Or are we mistaken? Golf is not a physical activity, but an entertainment or sport. And the fact that someone is walking on the field or around the billiard table does not mean that he is doing physical education. Although Japanese health experts recommend that everyone take 10,000 steps every day. And it does not matter where and how. The main thing is to walk. Therefore, for objectivity, it should be said that even walking around the billiard table can be physical education. And golf can be given a health and preventive focus. The main thing is to know how to do it. If you can play football and boxing for your health, then golf is even better. So you can. You need to! Another thing is that almost no one does them like that. At the same time, the most sporty version of golf is hardly more dangerous than the most sporty version of hockey, rugby or football.
Chess, checkers, cards are also games. For the mind, they say. Or for the heart? But at the same time they are mobile. In chess, for example, sometimes people play the role of pieces. Or the pieces are made so large that they can't just be rearranged, but dragged. Did you know that Grandpa Lenin was once considered a very strong chess player? Once, when asked why he didn't play chess more seriously, Lenin replied that as a serious activity, chess is just a game, but as a game, it's too serious an activity. Revolution - that's what it is! This is what is needed. Imagine how we all live now, what the whole world could be like, if Lenin took up chess seriously! Chess, checkers, cards... And there are also very intelligent games, backgammon, dominoes. After all, it's like you can develop your mind!
Play if you want and if you can. Maybe at least one less revolutionary will become. Only these games, like revolution, are not physical education, but rather sports. The mind is not developed in them, but used. And more in vain. There is an opinion that in people, the longer they play, the more games become, as it were, an outlet for the realization of vital energy, which under normal conditions is simply suppressed, causing completely unforeseen actions. And in games this enormous energy can be transformed into mental and physical activity. But games, saving from one misfortune, involve people in activities no less dangerous.
No one knows how many outdoor games there are. For example, children can make a game out of anything. You can make a game out of anything for both children and adults. There is even a game method of teaching. Languages, mathematics, and economics are studied this way. They play war, mom and dad, politics, and economics. Physical education also does not exclude game methods. Play for your health. But don't get carried away. Playing does not lead to good! And remember that in a competitive game there are always not only winners, but also losers.
The Big Encyclopedic Dictionary says that playing is a type of unproductive activity, the motive of which lies not in its result, but in the process itself, and that playing is inherent in both humans and higher animals.
The fact that animals love to play is certain. But that the motive lies not in the result, but in the process is very doubtful. And the question of unproductive activity is also controversial. After all, if this is an activity, then there will always be a product. Of course, not the same as with labor, with creativity, but there will be. It cannot always be determined immediately. And it is not always positive, like health improvement, for example. Everything can be, and very often it happens quite the opposite, that is, the product turns out to be harmful. But nature does not allow such carelessness as unproductive activity. In any case, animal games are still regulated by genetic norms that assume a completely specific and useful product - the development and acquisition of vital motor skills.
Animals have not yet reached such human idiocy as doing something without a goal. Otherwise, they would have died out long ago. And people do nothing without a goal. Another thing is that not everyone realizes these goals. And if you are personally interested in the process itself in the game - your will. But remember that even for animals, play is not leisure, not fun and sport, but development, learning and improvement. Therefore, for animals, the process of play is always only pleasant. But it is also pleasant because it is useful. Many people have reached such a degree of degradation that any physical activity is a burden for them. And mental activity too. But what is clearly harmful has become pleasant. And most of those who still have a natural need for the game are forced to play such games in such a way that they do not develop, but destroy. And not only the players themselves, but also a huge army of fans who do not play, but only watch others play. We are not talking about those who watch out of professional interest or for some other similar reasons. We mean physical, intellectual and moral impotents and masochists who, by way of active contemplation, satisfy some of their unhealthy needs. Moreover, this active contemplation manifests itself in antisocial and immoral forms.
Children, when adults do not interfere with them, instinctively organize games for their own development. Nature cannot do otherwise. Children almost always play as they should, and as much as they need, precisely for their health, and not because there is nothing to do, not for the sake of participation and, even more so, not for the sake of some bizarre result, such as a victory over an opponent. Moreover, this is not done at the cost of their health. And they do not need any fans - fans. Nature does not allow this in healthy, normal children. Only in modern society, in schools, in sports sections, everything is the opposite, and children's games are given a sporting character. Sick adult uncles and aunts simply infect healthy children with sports, and the sick and incapable of sports activities are transformed, as it were, into carriers of the germs - fans. The goal of any life, including an unhealthy one, is expansion. Adult athletes-chroniclers try to spread in this life by any means. Sports games, and this must be understood, are not aimed at development. They do not create, but demand and destroy. Moreover, the idiocy in sports games is, as it were, double. After all, the educational and training process, that is, preparation for the game, creates what should be destroyed! And the more it is created, the more it is destroyed. So, choosing for yourself the direction of activities - sports or physical education - determine what you want to acquire and what you are ready to sacrifice. But keep in mind that physical education options for games have not been developed anywhere for a long time.
I really want to say that there are no bad games. But this is far from the case. In addition, any game can be used for bad purposes or simply used badly. It is very difficult to help those who do it deliberately. Like convinced scoundrels and drunkards. They hardly want it. Sometimes it is just a pity for adult men who, contrary to common sense and even realizing that they are doing it to the detriment, on the principle of "real men" (not to be confused with "real men"), continue to drive football almost to the point of a heart attack. This is already such masochism - football, volleyball, tennis. It is impossible to help these guys. But for those who found themselves involved in such games through deception and their own frivolity or ignorance, which, in most cases, is what happens, this information can be useful.
After all, the variety of outdoor games allows everyone, depending on their goals and capabilities, to choose the most suitable one.
The level of health, physical, psycho-emotional conditions of people, their social status and financial situation are very different. For some, professional hockey or rugby is almost physical education, and for some, tennis is more harmful than boxing. Each person needs to choose for himself methods of training physical qualities.
