Herbs and health… What is the relationship? It has long been known that many of them have substances with healing properties. These herbs are called medicinal and are used in the treatment of various diseases. Herbs will help a practically healthy person to maintain vigor and efficiency.
It is difficult to imagine how much time has been used in successful practice before the Sumerian culture (3000 BC). Many ancient recipes have been improved and successfully used by modern medicine.
In the time of Hippocrates, 236 species of plants were used to treat people.
Medicinal plants for it were grown in special pharmacy gardens.
They carried the practice of distant ancestors through the centuries, passing it on from generation to generation. They divided plants by “sexual characteristics”: nettle, oregano, clover were considered feminine, which men should avoid, and wormwood, elecampane, immortelle were masculine plants. Rogedron was the continuer of the genus, St. John’s wort was “the herb for 99 diseases, apricot fruits (8 species) were the fruits of health, and wormwood was the “mother of herbs”. Doses were previously measured not on scales, but with a chip, which was approximately 10-14 g of dry plant.
In Eastern phytotherapy, each part of the plant was prescribed to treat the corresponding part of the body: bark – skin, branches – blood vessels, leaves – internal organs, flowers – sensory organs, roots – skeletal system.
Herbal drugs are distinguished from chemical drugs by the fact that the effect does not appear immediately, but gradually. Increasing the dose when treating with herbs is the same as overdosing on pills
The composition of medicinal preparations is aerobatics. One preparation can contain from 3 to 24 medicinal plants (for example, in Bitner's balm).
Highly qualified specialist Alexander Georgievich Seleznev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, who twice defended his doctoral dissertation (in Russia and Ukraine) and earned positive reviews from scientific councils and gerontologists, offers us 39 types of herbal teas. Basing his scientific and practical activities on the main principles of the natural health system and put forward by Ravitsena, - “Do no harm!” - Dr. Seleznev actively uses modern computer technologies. This includes proper nutrition, breathing, physical exercises, healing drinks, water procedures that ensure recovery, prevention and strengthening, rejuvenation of the body.
It is impossible to be cured with herbal tea alone. Harmony with oneself is also necessary. Unlike medicinal herbs taken for medicinal purposes, everyday household, preventive and therapeutic teas do not have potent and poisonous components, have a wide range of therapeutic properties, have healing effects with health symptoms of diseases.
At the end of winter, the body needs the use of simple herbal tea. We can prepare the collection for it ourselves. You can make a mixture of various herbs: nettle leaves, which are rich in vitamins, especially “C”. Delicious and healthy tea with St. John's wort, from dried raspberries, currants and mountain ash.
Sage, thyme can be used as a tea infusion. These herbs can be taken in any ratio. The total amount of the mixture should not exceed 1 tsp. per glass of water. The more components are included in the composition of the tea, the more biologically active substances we will get. It is useful to drink such tea in the morning and evening without sweets and confectionery.
The infusion for medicinal tea is prepared in the form of a decoction or tincture from a mixture of herbs. Decoction, tincture are water extracts from plants. Decoctions are prepared from plant roots, bark, tinctures - from leaves, stems, flowers.
Herbs are crushed and poured into enameled or porcelain dishes, poured with water, placed in a water bath (i.e. heated with steam or boiled water). We heat the herbs for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
At home, decoctions and infusions can be prepared more simply - without boiling. The tea collection from a mixture of medicinal herbs is poured with boiling water, the dishes are hermetically closed with a lid, insulated and infused for 4-6 hours, and then filtered. Infusions are best prepared daily, stored in a dark, cool place or in the refrigerator (storage period no more than two days).
Your doctor will tell you which recipe will be best for you.
Before you start drinking medicinal tea, conduct a cleansing therapy.
Tea with the addition of motherwort, plantain, blackcurrant leaves, elderflower blossoms helps cleanse the body well. The course is a month.
Here are recipes that, given the spring state of a person, it is not superfluous for everyone to know:

It is even better to first prepare a decoction or infusion for the bath. 10-20g of medicinal herbs (string, chamomile, nettle, mint, oregano, eucalyptus, sage or their mixtures) are placed in enameled dishes, poured with a glass of boiling water, closed and boiled in a water bath for 15 minutes, cooled, filtered. Not only phytotherapy, but also aromatherapy plays a major role for the immune and nervous system. Especially if we combine it with breathing exercises, massage, and ultraviolet radiation.
In sanatorium kindergartens, rehabilitation groups and medical offices, appropriate equipment is available (equipped). Children's nervous system is not so much morphologically as functionally complete. Babies are very sensitive to stimuli. They are dominated by excitation processes, which cause rapid formation of reflexes. Therefore, children develop a better and faster reaction to rehabilitation procedures at low doses and a shorter course of treatment. Inadequate age-appropriate dosages of even sun baths can cause excessive excitability, appetite disorders, sleep disorders, and deterioration of general health. Therefore, conducting water, air, heat and light procedures requires special control and caution. None of these procedures are carried out without adult supervision.
Procedures are carried out no earlier than an hour after a meal or 30-50 minutes before a meal. A high effect can be achieved only if the procedures coincide with the phase of greatest sensitivity of the body's functional systems. For "Larks", whose biorhythm activity is higher in the first half of the day, procedures are prescribed from 8.00 to 10.00, and for "Owls" it is more expedient to take procedures in the second half of the day. Oxygen cocktails, aromatherapy sessions are carried out according to the scheme. Before the sessions, a medical examination is mandatory. The procedures are strictly dosed (from 3 to 7 minutes) under the condition of normal breathing. During inhalations, the child should breathe deeply (this can cause hyperventilation of the lungs, and as a result dizziness). Breathing should be effortless, the concentration of medicinal plants used in the apparatus should be small. For those who suffer from bronchial diseases, it is recommended to do salt inhalations.
In the current environmental conditions, it is advisable to use not only aromatherapy, but also herbal tea to strengthen the defenses of children's bodies. Children especially like "Bakhchisaraisky", where the ingredients are: rose hips, chamomile, lavender, nettle, mint; "Vitaminny" - which includes mountain ash, rose hips; "Zdorovye" - from herbs of marshmallow, sage, nettle, mint, lavender, mountain ash - 130-150 ml per reception from 4 to 7 years.
The only contraindication may be hay fever – allergy to plants.
There are many changes in civilization. But the biological essence of man remains the same, in his close interaction with all the facts of the external environment. Therefore, the healing substances in plants are naturally harmonious with the human body. There are 800 species of medicinal plants, proven by practice.
Man understood the value of life at the beginning of his formation and prayed to many and one God for its continuation. Man understood that nature is also one. Thanks to her, man learned many secrets. As a result, intuition began to be called intuition, with the help of which people learned about the healing power of plants.
In harmony with nature, having recreated it, a person does not harm his health, fights to preserve it, and thereby ensures himself active longevity.
