The purpose of the parent council of the combat horting club is to assist the trainer-teacher in implementing the tasks of teaching and training children.
The main tasks of the parent council of the combat horting club are:
– assistance in students acquiring knowledge and skills of combat horting;
– prevention of neglect of children in their free time;
– promotion of the preservation of the life and health of students;
– organization and holding of mass educational events for children, organizational provision of their summer vacation and health improvement;
– promotion of the social and legal protection of participants in the educational process;
– comprehensive strengthening of ties between families, the combat horting club, the educational institution and the public in order to establish the unity of their educational influence on children;
– involvement of the parent community in the organization of specialized training and professional orientation of students, extracurricular and extracurricular work of the combat horting club;
– organization of work among parents in order to disseminate psychological and pedagogical knowledge among parents and increase their responsibility for the education and upbringing of children;
– assistance in strengthening the economic and educational and material base of the educational institution.
In almost all regions of Ukraine, where combat horting instructors work in educational institutions, programs have been developed for working with the family, involving parents and the public in upbringing. At the regional level, annual parent meetings, conferences on upbringing problems with the broad involvement of the parent community in the work of combat horting sports clubs in schools, holding parent meetings, and developing methodological recommendations for parents have become widespread.
As information from the regions shows, four forms of work with the family are actively used in the combat horting system:
1. Interactive: questionnaires, diagnostics, discussions, round tables, conferences, question and answer evenings, and specialist consultations.
2. Traditional: thematic sports hours, parent meetings (club, sectional, after-school, city, district, regional), evenings of rest, family sports and intellectual competitions, creative competitions.
3. Educational: use of mass media to highlight the problems of training, upbringing and education of children, organization of parent education, issuance of bulletins, information sheets, arrangement of stands and corners for parents.
4. State-public: creation of guardian councils, parent councils of school combat horting clubs, city and district parents' councils.
Joint activities of children, parents and coaches can be successful if:
– children, parents, coaches of a combat horting sports club are positively disposed to joint work, wish to act together, realize its goal and find personal meaning in it;
– joint planning, organization and holding of activity results are carried out;
– taking into account the wishes and capabilities of the participants, roles, functions, and spheres of activity are distributed;
– situations of free choice by the participants of various types, methods, forms, and their positions in joint work are created;
– there is no imposition, pressure on children and parents;
– the actions and style of the combat horting trainer-teacher contribute to the self-realization and self-expression of the participants in the educational, training, and educational activities of the sports club of the educational institution.
